Earlier this afternoon, I found a good patch of sunlight and went to sleep in it.
The sun moved.
I woke up and followed it.
The sun moved again.
I relocated approximately one cat-length.
By evening, all that remained was a narrow golden strip beside the chair leg. I compressed myself accordingly.
It was not comfortable.
But leaving would have allowed circumstances to win.
Maeve pointed out that several perfectly good chairs were available.
I looked at her.
This concluded the discussion.
My official position is as follows:
Sunbeams should remain where cats leave them.
The current system lacks basic oversight.
