Regarding the Garden Inspection

Earlier this week, Maeve announced she was going to “finish organizing.”
Since then, I have documented the following:
• One forgotten tin of seeds was discovered.
• Considerable time was spent smiling at said tin.
• Several cups of lemon balm tea were consumed while “thinking.”
• Blueberry muffins were baked for reasons that remain scientifically unclear.
The pantry is now tidy.
The garden has been complimented no fewer than twelve times.
I have inspected every flower bed.
Everything appears to be growing exactly as intended.
Including Maeve.
While I still believe naps are the most efficient use of an afternoon…
I must admit this week turned out rather nicely.
I have therefore closed the case.
