The Evening Ritual That Found Me

I didn’t mean to start an evening ritual.

It happened one sunset at a time.
Now, without really thinking about it, I find myself doing the same little things each night.
β Put the kettle on.
π― Light the porch lantern.
πͺ΄ Water whichever flowers still look thirsty after the heat.
π Bring a book I may or may not actually read.
π Wander to the old garden gate to see if the moonflowers have opened a little more.
π Wait for Smokey to inspect absolutely everything before we sit down.

The moonflowers are teaching me something I keep forgetting.
Not everything beautiful arrives all at once.
Some joys unfold one quiet evening at a time.
Perhaps that’s why I keep coming back.
Not because something extraordinary will happen…
…but because something small usually does.
And lately, that has felt like more than enough.

A curated collection of teas, mugs, honey, infusers, and cozy companions inspired by quiet mornings at Moonbeam Cottage.
